About me
I am 22, based in Rohtak, and I build software for a living. Most people online know me as BrutalHarsh. I started freelancing in 2022 and have shipped more than 100 projects since then: websites, APIs, mobile apps, desktop apps, Chrome extensions, Discord bots, and a lot of unglamorous automation that just needed to work.
I run my own shop at thedevs.org, and I started TheDevCourse.com so people could learn Python, web work, and how to actually use models in a product. I also help run two startups: Megallm (a single API in front of many AI models) and Ghostpay (a digital wallet). On the side I write backend for TabTrips, a B2B hotel booking product.
I am not a specialist who only does one layer. If you need a backend, I will write it. If you also need the site, the admin panel, the iOS app, and the deploy script, I will do those too. I prefer boring, readable systems over clever ones. I reply to email. I finish the job.
Work
Backend developer, Megallm

- I built the backend for a gateway that lets a product talk to several AI models through one API, instead of wiring each provider by hand.
- Routing, keys, and response shapes differ a lot between vendors. I spent a good chunk of time making those differences disappear for the caller.
- I look after the databases and keep an eye on speed when traffic jumps. When something is slow, I fix the query or the cache before adding machines.
- I maintain the NPM packages other teams install, and I wrote the admin panel we use for models, keys, and usage.
- I also keep the Notion workspace in order so the rest of the technical team can find specs and tasks without asking me every time.
Product manager, Ghostpay

- I own the product for the wallet: what we build next, what we skip, and what a release has to do before it goes out.
- The team lives in Notion, Jira, ClickUp, and Discord. I pick the tool that fits the week instead of forcing everything into one place.
- I sit with engineering, design, and operations so a feature does not stall because two people had a different picture of it.
- I still write backend when it helps. I would rather change the schema myself than throw a ticket over the wall and wait.

- I work on the backend that partners use to search rooms, see prices, and place bookings.
- Availability and rates change constantly. The data model has to stay honest when a hotel updates inventory in the middle of a search.
- I designed the B2B flows so a business account can manage bookings without calling us for every small change.

- I started TheDevs because people kept asking me to build “whatever it takes”: a script, an app, a bot, sometimes a whole product.
- I built the company site and the iOS and Android apps myself, then used that same stack for client work.
- Over 100 freelance jobs: Chrome extensions, REST APIs, admin tools, Discord and Telegram bots, Windows and Mac utilities, and a lot of Python glue between services that were never meant to talk.
- Most clients come back. I treat a small script with the same care as a paid product, because the next job usually comes from the last one.
- I also started TheDevCourse.com, a learning site for Python, web development, GitHub, deploy basics, and working with language models.
Things I have built
Knodor
Web, iOS, AndroidA society and estate app for gated communities. Guards check visitors at the gate, residents pay bills, the office posts notices, and there is a small marketplace. I wrote the backend, the web app, and both native apps so they share one system instead of three separate products.
Brutal Bot
Discord.py, PythonA Discord bot with more than 500 commands: moderation, small games, reminders, and the usual server chores. I built it to stay up on busy servers without falling over when someone dumps a lot of messages at once.
Courses on Python, web development, prompt work, GitHub, and putting a project online. There are exercises you can run in the browser, and a tutor that uses a model when someone gets stuck. I made it because I was tired of sending the same setup notes to beginners.
TwoFactorAuth
SwiftUI, macOSA Mac app for TOTP codes (SHA1, SHA256, SHA512). It works offline, stores secrets in Keychain, reads QR codes, and can import from Google Authenticator. I wanted something that did not phone home.
MailTheSecure
Linux, mail serverA small self-hosted mail setup for receiving mail on your own domain. Users, catch-all addresses, and a tight allow list. For teams that do not want their inbox sitting on someone else’s server.
AstroScope
Discord.py, PythonA Discord bot for daily horoscopes, birth charts, and compatibility. The chart math is based on real sky positions, not a random quote file.
Management system
Web, GitHubA lighter take on Jira for one person or a small team: a kanban board, simple sprints, time tracking, and reminders. I built it because the big tools were too heavy for the way I work.
Mock Location
AndroidAn Android tool that sets a fake GPS point so you can test location-aware apps without walking around the city. Material UI, permission prompts, and a mock provider.
What I can take on
Hire me if you need someone who can pick up a messy brief and come back with working software. I am comfortable as the only engineer on a small product, or as the backend person on a team that already has designers and a frontend. I have done both.
Typical work: a new API, an admin panel, wiring GPT or Claude into an existing app, a Chrome extension, a Discord bot, an iOS or Android app, a Mac utility, or the glue that moves data between three services you already pay for. I work remote. I am in IST (UTC+5:30). I can overlap a few hours with US or EU teams when a call is needed.
I write English and Hindi. I am fine on Slack, Discord, Notion, Jira, and ClickUp. I will sign an NDA. I quote per project after I understand the scope. Small jobs are a flat fee. Larger ones I break into milestones so nobody is guessing.

Python is what I reach for when I need a script or anything around models. TypeScript when the codebase has to last. I pick PostgreSQL when the data has real relationships, Mongo when it does not, Redis when something is hit too often. I am not precious about the stack if the existing one is already in production.

MDU RohtakMaharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana. I finished school (12th) first, then did my BCA here. Most of what I use day to day I learned by shipping client work, not from a lecture.
